For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. Our success is defined by the outcomes we achieve, the increased number of children we impact and the lifelong success and community benefits that follow.
Big Brothers Big Sisters targets children ages 6 through 18 who need us most! Working with children living in single parent homes, growing up in poverty, and coping with family health difficulties, BBBS and volunteers are able to help Redefine Possible for children in our community. Big Brothers Big Sisters has been serving children in Central Oregon since 1994. We are donor funded and all funds stay local to help local children in need.
Our Vision: Every child in Central Oregon that needs a mentor is matches with one; leading to higher aspirations, improved academic success and healthy life choices.
Our Mission: is to provide children facing adversity with mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better.
Our Accountability: We partner with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving:
- Higher aspirations, greater, confidence, and better relationships
- Avoidance of risky behaviors
- Educational success
